Lovely cafe for a hearty sunday brunch! Awesome, professional and friendly service from Caleb as usual! The coffee is strong not diluted even thou I've ordered ice coffee. Will definitely return : View all feedback.
Found this cafe to be highly rated and decided to travel there to try it. Food came in large portions and service was friendly. Decent fare but nothing special, good if you stay nearby but not worth to wake up early and take an hours transport over for when East side has loads of better cafes. I wanted to try the chicken thigh dish but they only serve it for lunch service. Shop is a corner lot with glass walls on two sides, lots of natural light. I liked the potatoes the most on my breakfast platter. The additional side of scrambled eggs came with beautiful curds but was under seasoned. Pancakes were floury and dry. The milky cold brew is good.
Fantastic food and a nice bright atmosphere. We had the burnt Brussels sprouts, meatball and sourdough and the soft shell crab burger. The Brussels sprouts were really good, and even better when dipped into the meatball gravy. Their portion sizes are larger too, definitely sharing sizes.
Very underrated place especially on the Upper Thomson stretch that’s so saturated with hyped cafes. We had the chicken stew that was less thick than I expected but really good nonetheless! The dessert was a highlight. It was huge dense, thick fluffy! But be warned this is best as a sharing dessert as 2 of us struggled to finish it. After a while the sweetness got to us so I don’t recommend if you don’t have a sweet tooth! All in all the cafe had wonderful vibes we had an awesome time there.
You can expect the same good food and cafe drinks here, as the other cafes in the same group (Atlas Coffee and Apollo Coffee). If u go for breakfast or lunch, the breakfast menu is quite decent. The waffles are yummy too. For dinner/ supper, they serve a good selection of alcohol, including beer on tap. It goes well with the truffle fries and extremely crispy fried chicken that is served with a spicy dipping sauce.
This place is quite crowded during Sunday brunch time but they have a good queue system. Waited for about 20-30 min for a seat for 2. Worth it!!! Prices are standard brunch range, maybe a little on the pricier side but they really have quite good food and big portions to make up for it. Had the summer chicken stew served with sourdough, as well as the soft shell crab burger which came with a side of curly fries. The summer chicken stew was light tasting and slightly creamy. It is a really big portion with a huge chunk of chicken leg and a lot of sourdough bread to go with. The sourdough went well with the stew for an additional touch of flavour but people who aren’t fans of sour might not like it as much. As for the soft shell crab burger, it was quite good as well. The bun was crisp on top and yet fluffy inside, and the pickled vegetables was a nice contrast to the egg and the softshell crab. The curly fries were pretty good too, and the portion size was just right as well. Coffee was good too! Full marks for the cold brew Worth the queue and the cost. Would come back for sure.
