We chose a chicken breast salad to share and are so glad we didn 't order any more food. I can honestly say that it was the worst meal I have ever had. The chicken had a most peculiar taste to it and the whole salad was swimming in vinegar and we thought that they had soaked the chicken in vinegar because it was off . We didn 't eat very much of it and couldn 't wait to get away! Avoid!

He recommended the la... read more We were staying nearby for a one night stop over and went in to Simancas to eat. The host was very friendly and helpful and spoke English. He recommended the lamb chops which were the best we can remember having. My husband had the cod with a mushroom sauce also excellent. We shared a plate of the dried local ham as a starter which again was really good. The wine was good quality and not expensive. Would go here again if we stay in the same hotel.

After being seated we realised that we were out of cash in the wallet and we asked for card acceptance... surprise... in our century... only cash...! I had to walk to the nearest cashier below 35° in the sun... suprise again: no service! I came back to the restaurant and said to the waiter... i can only spend 20eur and a few coins... so please cancel a part of our request... the waiter said no problem and helped us but i thin it's not normal at all nowadays to be in a touristic place and not having automatic payment available. They should at best advise the customers at entrance about this!
