The main feature of the surroundings is the place is a large equestrian center during the day. set to one side is a clean modern restaurant that offers different dining deals throughout the year. these include a traditional horse dressage and the evenings are magical. The restaurant is open most days and offers a fine dining atmosphere at an affordable rate. the menu offers a wide choice but not overly complicated. View all feedback.
We had the pleasure of eating here more than once. The food was fantastic and as a farrier and horse lover, it was very special to eat in such a lovely restaurant surrounded by beautiful horses.
The place to be for wonderful Fado evenings with amazing Fadistas. Fair local Portuguese kitchen, cozy interior, very friendly staff, nice covered terrace. The adjoining riding stables are a must for many horse lovers.

Where does one begin! This restaurant stands out amongst all others in the Algarve for many reasons. The menu is not only the best value, but the service is 5* and is matched by the talented Portuguese chef who could grace any kitchen in the top eateries in the world. The setting is to die for. here else could you eat fabulous, traditional Portuguese food and watch the beautiful and elegant Lusitano horses being schooled? We love to visit here a couple of times a month. It's like an oasis, peaceful and tranquil. We are welcome to visit the horses in their stable too!! Then there are the Fado nights. Traditional Portuguese music and singing. We can't understand a word, but are always moved by them. There is always a welcome drink before being seated in this delightful, atmospheric restaurant. There are also special occasions too. Like Halloween Parties. Christmas and New years celebrations; we've truly enjoyed them all. We have been going to this venue for 18 months and have never been disappointed. And as for the owners and staff, both in the restaurant and the stables, not only make you welcome but also like family. Sonia is an amazing hostess, and her team are dedicate to your enjoyment. Finally, but importantly is how clean and open everything is. You can see the chef and his team as they prepare your meal. The setting is elegant too with much thought going into pleasing the eye as well as the palette! You won't be surprised that we love this venue. But I guarantee: you will be pleasantly surprised by the bill! Yes, without a doubt, we recommend this gem of a restaurant.
We found a flyer of this place on our windscreen after having visited the magnificent sand scupltures in Pera. We decided to give it a try for lunch. Typical Portugese dishes: honest and fresh. And inexpensive ofcourse when compared to Dutch standards. The razor clam rice was nice, but this is something one needs to eat fast as the shellfish gets tougher when it stays longer in the hot rice. Me and my son had the two pecials of the day. For junior it was freshly charcoal grilled porc, chouricao and chicken, for it was sardines, horse mackeral and a smal seabream prepared on the same BBQ. All accompanied by steamed potatoes, fries, veggies and salad. One can visit the stables with all the beautiful blue eyed Lusitan horses. Atmosphere is very relaxed and service is impeccable. Definitly a place to return to.
