The chefs at The Historic Mint believe that the best person to decide how your steak should be cooked is you! Simply let them know your preference and it will be prepared to perfection on their lava rock grill. While your steak is being prepared, you can savor one of their delicious appetizers such as whole steamed artichoke, coconut shrimp, or apple wood bacon wrapped scallops. If steak is not your preference, you can also delight in a shrimp kebab or the teriyaki chicken.

Staff is very friendly and fun atmosphere. Coose your steak, then grill it yourself. Great concept and food was delicious. Highly recommend!Parking: Parking was a bit challenging and had to park a few blocks away.
It was a truly unique experience. We had a great time and savored some really good food. The service was outstanding! I highly recommend trying the Mint Potato for dessert; it was both unusual and delicious.
Great if you can cook very fun if you don’t know you have to cook your own steak or whatever meat you get
Now, let me mention that the restaurant does not reflect its exterior. Inside, it has more of a casual bar vibe. My husband and I were dressed up for a date night, which felt a bit out of place. They offer an all-you-can-eat salad bar, which we loved, and we enjoyed being able to choose our meat and cook it ourselves on the grill. This made for a unique dining experience compared to other restaurants. Keep in mind that all side dishes are served a la carte. They also provide unlimited Texas toast, but you have to grill it yourself. There’s a container of butter next to the bread that you can spread on before grilling. All the seasonings for the meat are located around the grill. Plus, the pricing is quite reasonable. Now, here’s why I'm giving this place 3 stars. While my husband and I were cooking, some kids approached to make their Texas toast. Initially, it was fine; they buttered their toast and were having a good time. However, when their parents came over with steaks for the grill, the kids began to season their meat. One of them decided he wanted butter on his steak – no big deal, right? Unfortunately, this child used the same utensil that had been used for spreading butter on toast to spread it on his raw steak, and then he put that utensil back in the butter! Yes, he contaminated the butter meant for the toast with raw meat. He repeated this three more times while his parents looked on. My husband and I were horrified by the cross-contamination! We ended up avoiding any more Texas toast for fear of getting sick, and we did mention this incident to our waiter, Jason. Lastly, be aware that the restroom stalls do not have doors; they are equipped with curtains instead. As for kid-friendliness, we noticed there were several large families with children dining at the restaurant when we arrived.
