Description

Tucked into Silverado Canyon, this longtime rustic diner feels like a nostalgic time capsule: cozy decor, friendly staff and hearty breakfasts make it a beloved stop for locals, hikers and scenic drives. Menu highlights include burgers and fries, though food quality and speed can vary. Dog‑friendly outdoor seating, clean restrooms and affordable prices add appeal. Expect limited indoor space, spotty cell signal and occasional lack of air conditioning on very hot days — best enjoyed as part of a relaxed canyon outing.

This charming little café is a perfect stop if you're in the area for hiking, biking, or off-roading (which is exactly what I did today). The food was delightful, and my server was attentive, quick, and professional.

Silverado Cafe is a hidden treasure and one of the few places left in southern Orange County where you can step inside and feel like you’ve traveled back in time. Right from the warm welcome you'll receive at the bar to the cozy booths decorated with local artwork, the genuine old-fashioned service will leave you with a smile. This sense of Americana nostalgia captures the essence of small-town charm, and you won’t be disappointed when you walk through the door. It’s a place where life feels simpler, where a delicious burger and a friendly face can brighten your entire week. Each visit helps support an independent establishment in the face of corporate chain restaurants. Silverado Cafe is one of our favorites in the area and certainly worth your time for both its food and inviting atmosphere! They offer a full menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner—just be sure to check their hours ahead of time, as the locals operate on their own schedule in the canyon. Enjoy your visit!

Great drive out to Silverado. Fun, old, family type diner with a lot of character. The food was ok. The people and ambiance were fantastic. Fun place for a Sunday drive brunch type meal.

My review is a bit biased and I will start out with this. My current partner and I met here on our first date. Our waitress was so sweet and kind and gave us lots of time and space. I think she knew it was out first date. The food was good. It's a bit small but cozy. The place is well decorated and clean. The waitress was welcoming and friendly. The bathrooms are small but also clean and fresh smelling(we went in the middle of July). It's a great place. Although I will say I had zero cell signal. This place is lovely and will definitely hold a special place in my heart. D+A 7/16/23
