While the prices are on the higher side, the food and service are consistently spectacular. The menu may not be extensive, but the dishes, such as house-made gnocchi and pork belly, are executed perfectly. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service create a memorable dining experience, making it a must-visit spot in Silver Star. Although there were some complaints about seating and pasta dishes, overall, the Silver Grill provides a high-quality dining experience that is worth the price.
Make this restaurant a hard pass. First they seated 6 of us at a table for 4, almost right in the kitchen. Once they reluctantly reseated us at a very available table, then the service got even worse. Three of us ordered the pasta and prawns. The prawns were okay but the pasta was like eating glue. When we complained to the server we were told that it was vegan pasta meant to meet the needs of a variety of guests with varying dietary needs. It wasn’t advertised as vegan and I would argue that the prawns wouldn’t be acceptable by any vegan guests. We didn’t eat it and were not offered a different meal nor any sort of compensation. We left hungry and paid a large bill for 5 prawns that I suspect came frozen from Costco. An awful experience that I am still upset about.
It’s a small cozy atmosphere with impeccable service and fabulous food. The oysters are well worth it they can sell out fast so when you make your reservation ask them to hold some oysters for you). The four of us had a variety of dishes and they were all beautifully presented and all really tasty. The waiter offered some really good wines to go with our dinner. It is a little more expensive than many eateries at Silver Star but it is well worth it. I highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.
Excellent food and service. Only problem was that the special of the day was sold out ! Nice cocktails , reasonable wine list . Nice to have a meal that is not just he usual ‘mountain food’. Not the cheapest meal in town but definitely worth it. Our steaks were all cooked exactly as requested by each of us- from blue to rare and also well done.
Even the chef has no idea what medium rare is. Two meals no concept of what medium rare is and a fight with the chef...... really and the manager!!
The food and service were spectacular. I had the house made gnocchi, the flavours were subtle and delicate, followed by the very slow cooked pork belly. Portion sizes were just right, and the suggested wine pairing was perfect.
