However, upon arrival, th... read more The service at Subway has noticeably declined. I recently placed a pickup order through their app, which indicated my order was ready. However, upon arrival, there was a long line stretching outside the door. At the designated pickup area, a staff member informed me my order wasn’t ready and that they were overwhelmed. While customers waiting in line were being assisted, even though I ordered 30 minutes earlier, I had to wait an additional 15 minutes. In the end, only half of my order was prepared, so I canceled the rest and took what was available. It was evident that Subway is understaffed and the staff lack proper training—one employee had to translate every customer request for the sole other staff member present. I also saw two customers leave out of frustration. It’s surprising that Subway, despite surpassing sales projections by nearly $1.4 billion, still struggles to manage even the basics of their menu and service effectively.

However, a few days ago, I overheard a deeply offensive racist comment about the Indian community from a Hispanic woman working at the front. I mention her ethnicity not to single her out, but to highlight that everyone should be held accountable. An Indian man had just placed an order for a large quantity of tomatoes, and after he left, she began making derogatory remarks about the Indian community to another customer. I was shocked and immediately decided to leave.
