Kokee Tea - Silver Spring

After about ten more minutes, the young lady handed me a mango smoothie with bubbles instead of the mango bubble tea I ordered. I politely explained that I couldn’t have milk in my drink and that I had specifically ordered the bubble tea. She responded by saying I hadn’t specified that I wanted a different type of tea, claiming that the regular option was a milk smoothie, even though she hadn’t taken my order. I tried to clarify, but she became defensive, rolled her eyes, and begrudgingly threw my smoothie in the trash. As she made my new drink, she muttered under her breath and rudely tossed the corrected order on the counter far from me. Other customers were watching, clearly confused by the situation, and I found the whole experience quite inappropriate. The customer service was terrible, and I definitely won’t be returning.

The green tea had an unpleasant odor and a chemical-like taste. I ended up discarding it and took the boba home to enjoy with my own tea instead.

We genuinely want to like this place, so we've returned about four times now, but it’s always been just okay. There aren’t any specific problems with the service or long wait times; it’s really about the quality of the food. We wouldn't recommend it.
