We knew it was fried chicken night (which has great food! , but we didn't realize that you can't even o... read more Too bad our last night at Jackie's was a disappointment. We knew it was fried chicken night (which has great food! , but we didn't realize that you can't even order extra sides. This meant that we had to order a chicken dinner for our vegetarian friend, and she couldn't even eat the kale because it had bacon! Then, to make it worse, they wouldn't even give us an extra biscuit or more potato salad. Very disappointing. It felt like they were being very stingy. We've been going to Jackie's for more than 10 years to celebrate birthdays, etc in the neighborhood. We were sad it was leaving, but now we feel like we're ready to move on. Hopefully Jackie's new restaurant will be more customer friendly, especially for vegetarians on ANY night.
