Stayed in the lodge for one night! The property is rustic and super charming. The restaurant located in bottom floor was super good! Staff was all super helpful! The hot springs are great and the clientele overall great too! The property is very very peaceful and quiet. You can go nude in the pool/pool areas, though not in the lodge, public areas. I think that is a great compromise. Again, nude optional, not required... View all feedback.
What Jennifer Suttmiller doesn't like about Sierra Hot Springs:
Yikes..... this place is hyped up far too much. It's outdated and run down plus it's a hike to get anywhere. First of all when they say clothing optional that equates to EVERYONE is naked. The pool is entirely too small to be hanging in close quarters with naked strangers. If that's not awkward enough you have to whisper as well making it even more awkward. The meditation pool smelt terrible and had so many bugs flyi... View all feedback.
Bit of a walk to get to the pools and they smell very sulphur
A mellow, relaxing abode with delightful hot springs in a beautiful Sierra location. It's a well preserved hotel that is nicely appointed and very comfortable. Beautiful woodwork everywhere. A place to get away from TVs and cell phone conversations, but there is good wifi and limited cell phone coverage. The kitchen is large and well equipped and rather busy at peak hours, but everybody was cooperative and cleaned up after themselves. Instructive signs everywhere. Lots of wonderful indoor and outdoor places to sit and eat or read or quietly converse. The small shared bathrooms were clean and convenient. The hot springs are the highlight a short, comfortable walk on either side of the hotel. An amazing variety of settings and temperatures that are perfect for quiet meditation.

The meditation pool smelt terrible and had so many bugs flying around your head its impossible to relax and enjoy yourself. To each their own but not my cup of tea. I wouldn't recommend or return.

Me and my wife were the only ones they're wearing bathing. My wife should have told me. It was that kind of place. If you know what I'm saying. Overall very nice place.
