Customers are largely local and menu only in Italian. Quality was superb. Service perhaps a little patchy hence only 4 stars

Open spacious place and more importantly the local residents eat here and others, on their lunch break, are lined up to order take aways. We all had the Papa Pomodoro soup. Homemade, warm and hearty. The bowl of soup is enough but the Italian way is to eat a hearty lunch so we ordered Tuna Salad and Tuna sandwich. Very friendly staff and chef/owner. He came over to ask how we were enjoying our meals and recommended we have red wine instead of the spritzer. But he gets busy fast so get there early.

Every other Friday evening... read more We had been staying just outside of Siena for 3 weeks and were lucky enough to find this wonderful spot the last evening of our stay. Every other Friday evening, The Snack Bar has a wonderful buffet and live music and thankfully this was that Friday! The atmosphere was vibrant and filled with locals enjoying the end of the work week with friends. The music was great and the buffet was fabulous. The owners made us feel right at home, as it appeared that we were the only tourists present. I would highly recommend that you stop by this spot which is just outside the Porta Camollia portal to the city. Hopefully you make it on the live music Friday night and enjoy all this for 15 euro's a person (including 2 drinks). Buffet from 8-10 with music starting around 9:30pm.

The salads (mozzarella with tomato and another one from special salads) were amazing: very tasty, fresh, big portions. We were very impressed to find such a good food not in the restaurant. The price was also very pleasant.
