We drank some nice local wines. The cutting board we ordered for two people was a little disappointed. The meat cuts were very nice but the bruschetta was soggy (perhaps they could toast the bread before putting the tomatoes on), and the cheese was pretty basic. Still, not too expansive. We would come back for drinks next time.
We stopped in as a respite from the crowds. Lovely location. Historic square, photogenic well, frescoes. I suspected it was a total tourist trap but how wrong I was. Aperol spritz 7 Euro, Brunello by the glass 8 Euro. Wild boar pasta 10 Euro was just outstanding. Fabulous flavor, home made pasts was fantastic. Best we have had yet in Italy. Yay. Rain arrived but we were cosy and contented under the umbrella. Attentive helpful staff. What a find! Grazie.
A haven of peace in a palace. Siena has lots of restaurants whose outside tables are on narrow crowded streets. Step in side this old palazzo and former music academy to dine in the beautiful courtyard with frescos and an ancient well. Inside is aircon and musical theme- magical. This is more than a cafe as food was as good as any restaurant for a light lunch. Service from Gabriel was faultless. Had bursts with orange and lavender oil. The old Count’s motto is etched into the walls. Micat in vertice: shines on top which it certainly does. Count Biagio enjoyed his time here too.

Beautiful, a stellar place. I was in love with him.
Beautiful location where we stopped to drink an aperitif before dinner ... interesting also the possibility to eat something but the sin that at 19 the kitchen closes. cmq excellent alternative to the usual bars and interesting the wine shop and various gadgets of the musical academy
