Smitty's Family Restaurant - Sidney

If staying at the Best Western in Sydney, this is where you get breakfast. It isn't bad, you receive a discount if you're a hotel gust, so overall it's convenient.

We traveled several miles to go for the pancakes. Pancakes were OK but the french toast was super. See picture. Service was more than excellent. The waitress was very helpful and friendly. I asked for extra crisp bacon and got it. She brought it on a separate plate just encase it had to be cooked more to my liking. We eat a lot in restaurants and travel through out Canada . It was a pleasure to visit Smitty's. The supervisor on shift was also amazing. We were very impressed with the whole experience. Ample parking for any size vehicle.

We were staying at the BW Emerald Isle so went to Smitty's on site for breakfast. We were all disappointed in what we ordered. The pancakes and waffles had no flavor and the sausage and coffee wasn't good. One person had oatmeal and said it was ok; but the rest of us were looking forward to Smitty's like we remembered it.

Smitty's is cut from the Denny restaurant style -- boring decor, boring food, indifferent service. But it does the job, and if you have a family with little kids it is probably for you.

We tried to eat here on a couple of occasions the first time the food was disappointing and the second time we just never got served the waitress/hostess told us it would probably be another 45 min (after having already sat for 20 min) and the restaurant was almost empty! Left hungry and frustrated. This place is such a waist of valuable real estate and really needs to shut down asap
