Was Anonym at Sidney Bakery a mag?
Great local bakery, I always go when I am in Sidney and know other family from the mainland that also make a point to come here. A bit disorganized in the layout of a lineup of who is ordering or paying. Always a great variety of baked desserts, breads and treats! View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Sidney Bakery:
We went to bakery 3 different times, while we were disappointed in Sidney for 3 months and every time. Not much taste in cheesecake, cookies, gluten-free squares, chocolate brownie, Macarons, although they look good. Also disappointed in the baguette.... The only article we can suggest is the Chinese gum. We wonder why there's always a lineup in front of you? View all feedback.
Incredible food, definitely worth making the trip to Sidney since I don't live nearby. The baked goods are delicious.
If ever in Sidney you must make this a destination! As bakers we hardly ever purchase baked goods because....well you know, it is never good enough and a disappointment. Not at Sidney Bakery. Always amazing and so fresh. They truly take pride in their work.
Great selection and friendly staff! Make sure to get there early if you want access to the best selection of goodies!
The Chinese Chews were absolutely worth taking the ferry ride from San Juan Island! They were perfectly chewy, with a delicious molasses and date flavor. I couldn't identify all the ingredients, but they were truly exquisite.
Your typical small town bakery. Busy with locals and visitors. At times, feels a tad unorganized. Baked goods are showcased behind a glass window enticing passerbys to come in for a sweet treat peek. There's a lot of options. Not sure quality of everything when there's so much, but prices are so reasonable you can taste test a few goodies. Not quite sure why this place is so crazy popular. It's your average no-fancy fuss bakery in seaside Sidney with not a whole lot of competition. I think for nostalgic purposes it's a walk down memory lane for many a local folk. Yes it does remind me of the humble ma pa village bakery around the corner from my childhood home. Sidney Bakery is simple old school. Their signature fritter donuts were big, moist and chewy with mouthfuls of apples not overly sweet but tad greasy. Overall I find it's good but nothing spectacular.
