Incredible food, definitely worth making the trip to Sidney since I don't live nearby. The baked goods are delicious.

The Chinese Chews were absolutely worth taking the ferry ride from San Juan Island! They were perfectly chewy, with a delicious molasses and date flavor. I couldn't identify all the ingredients, but they were truly exquisite.

Your typical small town bakery. Busy with locals and visitors. At times, feels a tad unorganized. Baked goods are showcased behind a glass window enticing passerbys to come in for a sweet treat peek. There's a lot of options. Not sure quality of everything when there's so much, but prices are so reasonable you can taste test a few goodies. Not quite sure why this place is so crazy popular. It's your average no-fancy fuss bakery in seaside Sidney with not a whole lot of competition. I think for nostalgic purposes it's a walk down memory lane for many a local folk. Yes it does remind me of the humble ma pa village bakery around the corner from my childhood home. Sidney Bakery is simple old school. Their signature fritter donuts were big, moist and chewy with mouthfuls of apples not overly sweet but tad greasy. Overall I find it's good but nothing spectacular.

5/5. Those fritters. THE CHINESE CHEWS. Love this place, and it's cheap A.F. A true gem, if you only have a few dollars, this is the place to spend them.

In terms of taste, the donuts were good but not exceptional. The croissants were rich and buttery, although they could have been flakier. The bread was good, but I have found better options in the area. However, the cookies were delicious with a variety of flavors to choose from. The buns and rolls were perfect and I appreciated the fact that they were priced to sell in dozens, which will be my main reason for returning.
