So delicious!!! We got take-out, clam chowder with focaccia and the Riva burger with fries. We ate it at home about 10 minutes later, so not piping hot, and still the best fries I’ve had in a while. The burger was amazing too, bacon jam yum. And my partner licked the bowl of his clam chowder!10/10.
The service was impeccable. The seafood linguini was great. The tiramisu was a great finish for the meal. They accommodated me by a oceanview table. Lovely atmosphere.
The restaurant is lovely, but I can't honestly call it Italian when the chef isn't Italian and doesn't seem to know how to prepare pasta. As an Italian, I expect to experience a genuine Italian atmosphere when dining out, or at the very least, to have an Italian chef at the helm. I ordered fettuccine alla marinara but received tagliatelle with a basic tomato sauce instead. When I asked the waitress if my order was correct, she confirmed it was. I then pointed out that those were tagliatelle, not linguine, and that authentic marinara is typically served with seafood. Instead, I was served plain tagliatelle with tomato sauce for $37. No, thank you!
A friend and I were there to celebrate a birthday and were blown away by the quality of food, service, and atmosphere. Our table gave us an incredible view of wind-whipped waves at night, while the dimmed lights and electric fireplace creating a lovely relaxing environment. The addition of some light piano jazz was the perfect touch. The food was divine. Our seafood pasta dishes were perfectly seasoned, and the made-in-house fresh bread was perfect for mopping up the sauce. The wine menu was the only weak point, with just a small selection available. The service was wonderful. All staff we encountered were courteous and professional ; we felt very welcomed and appreciated that the servers knew the menu well enough to answer all our questions about our meal. The highlight was the surprise birthday candle on my friend's dessert. Such a small gesture that meant so much.Thank you very much for a wonderful evening.
