The Rumrunner restaurant in Sidney offers a mixed experience, with slow service and poor quality food noted by some diners. Others praise the consistency of the menu, friendly staff, and delicious dishes such as the haddock wrap. The atmosphere and view of the harbor are highlights, while some find the prices reasonable. Despite mixed reviews, patrons appreciate the accessibility and varied seating options. Overall, it seems like a hit or miss depending on individual experiences.

Our first experience with the restaurant was perfect, at lunch. Great food, attentive and funny waiter, all good. Our second visit was for dinner around 6. It was crowded as expected, service was slower, and two of our menu choices were gone and the server kept coming back to apologize. It certainly was not her fault as we told her, but we waited so long and had to change our choices, so we just asked for the bar tab and left the table. A disappointment.

I have been to the Rumrunner many times, mostly for lunch. The menu has lots to offer and the food is always consistent. A great place to take out of town visitors for the view. Love it there in the Winter on stormy days too.

Service was very slow. It took 1.5 hours to be served after ordering our meal. When we were served, the food quality was poor and portions were small. The waitress took my plate while I still had the sandwich in my hand. I had to finish eating the sandwich since I didn't have a plate to set it on. Multiple waitresses served out party of six. I wouldn't eat there if it was free.

Our destination was actually the restaurant about 100 meters away, but it had an hour long wait. Walked over to Rumrunner, which was about half full. There must be a reason for this, right ? Yep, there definitely was. Enough said.

This place is a dump, worst food I've ever had. The beer was flat and the burger was dry.
