Contribute FeedbackThe McDonald's in Sidney offers the typical fast food fare but with some inconsistent experiences. Some customers found issues with orders and service, with one calling it the worst McDonald's on Vancouver Island. However, another reviewer praised the location for its efficiency, accuracy, and quality of coffee. Despite mixed reviews, it seems that the McDonald's in Sidney may be hit or miss when it comes to food quality and service.
We went to the McDonald's in Sidney for a quick take-out breakfast on August 12th at 8:30 a.m We both wanted a McMuffin and a small sized Smoothie drink beverage. We went inside the Establishment, stood in a long line, and then when it was our turn to order we presented the cashier with our "Buy One - Get One Free coupons" that we had. Everything was going well and we paid, and then waited off to the side for our order. Moments later I looked at my receipt only to see that she had not given us the $2.00 Summer Drink Deal price, so I stood back in line again and asked her about it, to which she said that the special price does not apply to the buy "Buy One - Get One Free coupon" .... huh? Turns out we had to pay full price for the drink. Strange policy, or perhaps an inexperienced cashier? We won't be back.
What can you say about McD's. My coffee order was one and one and came with none when i got back to hotel. Thank god they had powered milk in room.
Tables should be cleaner and staff a little more friendly. It is a typical busy McDonald's. Good place to grab a bite.
Nothing spectacular, the usual McDonalds, located close to the Pat Bay Highway, you have to turn off into the town of Sidney and get turned around to return to the Highway to gain access to their parking lot.
The food is every bit as good as any other McDonalds, but its a tiny place and can be difficult to get in and out of being so close to the highway exit.
