What Les D doesn't like about State And Lake Chicago Tavern:
We went for breakfast on a Friday morning. It was not very busy. Waitstaff did not seem interested. Had to request coffee refills. We received beautiful plates of much undercooked eggy brioche French toast. As we were finishing, I mentioned to the waitress that it was undercooked and she replied “you should’ve told me” to which I said you should’ve returned to check! Super great experience at this location. We went for dinner and came a little early for our reservation but they were kind enough to seat us early. The food was delicious but the Brussels sprouts looked amazing so if we go back we will definitely switch up the fries for Brussels. My husband had the salmon and I had the burger. Great pizza combinations great food atmosphere was amazing
Great bar attached to the Wit Hotel. Was there in the evening and they had live music being performed, great singer!
Great service. Very nice staff and good food. The place has a mellow ambiance that lets you relax. I really enjoyed my visit there.
