We had multiple family members visiting from out of town for a weekend and we were expecti... read more I can’t begin to thank everyone working at Mesa for saving our event. We had multiple family members visiting from out of town for a weekend and we were expecting about 40 family members to come. They all were going to stay in Downtown Hotels. We decided to setup a large family gathering at Mesa Urbana so I put my wife in charge. The dinner was going to be setup for Saturday evening so on Friday about 4 PM we got a call from Mesa Urbana and I believe the owner was calling Moe), he was letting me know that the tables are ready and they swill be expecting our arrival in an hour or so…. Wait a moment I said, we reserved this for Saturday not Friday. At that moment I realized that my wife made a reservation for a wrong date. I started to panic because it is so hard to find a place to host a group of 40 on a a Saturday night in Chicago. First of all I felt extremely embarrassed because my wife made a reservation for a wrong date for 40 people and the restaurant prepared for our arrival. The owner Moe was sooo nice, I was so apologetic and after talking to him for a while we both started to laugh because he himself had a similar situation with his wife. We had a very wonderful conversation and he was able to open up enough space with bringing extra tables for us on Saturday. I can’t thank enough to Moe for making this happen, what a gentleman he was. Comes Saturday we all stated to show up to Mesa, tables were ready , we had 8 servers assigned to us, the ambiance was perfect. We end up meeting Moe and we all laughed a bit . We allowed them to serve us a set menu and OMG the food, I mean everything from the appetizers to the main course dishes, to the desserts and to the drinks were beyond real. The presentation was out of this world. We all enjoyed our time and the food. We thank Mesa Team for the wonderful service they have provided and marking this experience a memorable one. I have been in many places and enjoyed their food and service and I probably won’t remember the names of these places but I for sure will never forget the name of Mesa. Once again thank you so much Moe and the Mesa Team.

Ash, the owner, introduced... read more Mesa Urbana surpassed my expectations this weekend! Went for dinner with two friends and we were instantly impressed by the service. Ash, the owner, introduced himself to us and gave us a warm welcome. Additionally, whenever a team member brought us an item, they gave their unique perspective on the dish, which made us feel so special! On top of the service, the food and drinks were fantastic, especially Beso de Guava and the tuna tostada. If you’re looking for a great meal at a restaurant with fantastic hospitality and a neighborhood-y feel, this is it!
