What Michael Schuett doesn't like about Jennivee's Bakery:
Through my own fault not understanding the online ordering my cake wasn't going to be ready on the day I needed it for a manager's celebration. However the bakery manager Eric was able to work it out and got me the cake on time. It was the Bad and Boujie. That cake is incredible. If I could give a negative review I would. Contacted Jennivee's with a custom cake request for our daughter's 1st birthday. Time sensitive order that was submitted online as you can't do it in store. Standard reply time is 48—72 hours which is reasonable. Gabrielle replied within 8 hours, great start. We exchanged a few emails but it was evident she hadn't paid much attention to the submission/description I placed online with her questions and email response. Flavors here are a real trip to the Philippines. The Purple Velvet is real ube, a purple yam similar in flavor to taro (most Filipino bakeries use artificial flavor and too much unnatural purple color) and the coconut sport filling (a staple ingredient in Halo-Halo, a shaved ice treat with condensed milk and fruits) takes it up a notch above everyone else. Best cupcakes I've ever had in my entire life, definitely worth the price! My favorite so far is the tres leches one:
I love ube flavored items and Jennivees ube brownies and cookies are so good! I deducted a star though because they are so inconsistent with stocking them, I'll put in an order and get it canceled all the time it's a total bummer. The ube cupcakes and cake slices are usually in but there is giant long stripes of young coconut in those and it just doesn't work well it feels like chewy spaghetti noodles mixed into a cake.
