This is your perfect country pub, which if we don’t watch out will soon disappear. It serves excellent pub grub, has a great selection of drinks , and at times is full of local characters, none of whom is as described in a recent review. Winter is coming, wood burner will be lit, nowhere nicer to spend an hour or two

Lovely family pub , with great food a huge range of drinks and entertainment arranged on tap. Locals are in fact incredibly friendly, we regularly visit with our two nine years olds and I have never been concerned about them over hearing racist or homophobic content. In fact I would suggest a previous reviewers negative comments on a number of local pubs suggest he doesn’t particularly like country folk especially North Herefordians !

This charming village pub has a welcoming atmosphere, with a young, enthusiastic landlady who brings fresh and imaginative ideas to the experience. The staff is friendly and the locals are happy to engage in conversation with visitors. I found the accusation of racism and homophobia in a previous review to be surprising, as I have not experienced this during my visits. It is worth noting that the reviewer has made similar claims about other pubs, leading one to question their own level of empathy. Overall, I highly recommend this pub for a pleasant dining experience.

Great food, fabulous beer and exceptionally friendly locals , went on a Thursday night and the atmosphere was banging, with this great pub super popular.

This pub is an absolute revelation! We’re staying in the area and discovered a very busy, vibrant pub, full to the brim with regulars. Great atmosphere. Will call again. Food very tasty too.
