What User likes about The Black Boy Inn:
This restaurant is a fantastic spot for ale enthusiasts, offering a great selection of ales and guest ales. The back seating area is dog-friendly and lovely, with a charming old feel. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. It's a perfect place to stop by while walking from the high city of Bridgnorth to the river, or on the way back to your car parked in the city center. The Guinness is well-maintained. Definitely... View all feedback. What johnbrum doesn't like about The Black Boy Inn:
Not as good as it used to be ,the pub has been refurbished and has lost a lot of the character the lighting is far too bright ,it used to have, and the real ale choice on our visit was poor unless you like green king ales, although the guy behind the bar was friendly. View all feedback.

read moreNestled halfway up the historic Cartway, The Black Boy Inn delivers a unique blend of charm and character that keeps patrons coming back. While the ambiance has shifted slightly post-refurbishment, with brighter lighting and limited real ale choices, the warm welcome from the staff remains a highlight. Known for its impressive selection of well-kept ales and friendly banter, it's a haven for adults looking to unwind rather than families. With a cozy interior, a roaring fire, and an inviting atmosphere, this pub is a must-visit for those seeking quality drinks and a taste of local camaraderie.
This cozy pub offers a great variety of authentic ales. It is dog-friendly and worth the trek up the steep Cartway to visit.

Homely and welcoming. A long way from the place I was warned to avoid as a kid. Excellently kept real ale and apparently always sourced locally.
