I visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch and it was one of the best I've had. The staff were really friendly and it's clear that the owners are doing a great job. I will definitely be back. Thank you. View all feedback.
What CLOCKFOSSIL doesn't like about Rose And Crown:
Good reviews so I called in for a small meal. My beef burger was distinctly average and I suspect bought in and not home made and the chips and salad also no better than you can get anywhere. I did notice however that a prawn... View all feedback.
Still great under the chef licencee Barry, and his wife. Haven't met Barry, met his wife who is lovely, but cannot remember her name. Bar staff welcoming. Philippa is a star. Sunday lunch extremely good value. Plenty of vegetables. Well cooked. I ask for seperate gravy s it can be too generous. Weekly bar snacks very good too. I was surprised by how many scampi I had in a basket
The welcome was warm, waitress was friendly service good. We both ordered fish chips, it arrived very quickly the chips were good. Sadly fish was sloppy inside very wet and unappetising. The batter tasted like it was fried in stale oil. We give feedback to say it was not the best meal. Hubby was not well that night or the next day. Maybe their other food is good, but we would not be persuaded to return.
Stayed here for a couple of nights for a local wedding. Had food on first evening and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Food was amazing with large portions. I had pawn cocktail starter and never had so many prawns on a prawn cocktail starter. We both had fish and chips main course and again the portions were massive with lovely fresh fish and home made chips. Will definitely be back
We were a group of 12 staying in the area and booked for Sunday lunch. Made to feel most welcome. Good selection of roast dinners with something to please everyone. Meals were large but not too big to deter us from having desserts. Would highly recommend.
Nice pub, despite location may not be appealing at first, due to be just out from town and factory next door. But worth to visit, car park qs well. Cosy decor. On third time we discovered nice sitting area behind bar, with cozy sofas and tv. Nice service from lady's behind a bar. Did eat once and it was soooo much better than expected. Shame not doing food all day long or at least sandwich, snack menu.Lunch service and then dinner,i think from 6pm, what is quite late for us. Some simple bap's on bar would do a deal,or chips, bread and dips, nachos... (some vegan please too : Very good drink choice and nice that they're serving perfect pint of Tenbury's local Cider.
