Red Lantern - Shropshire

I have to say, this is the best Korma I have ever had. We visited this restaurant in Craven Arms while on vacation after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. The waiter was very attentive and made us feel incredibly welcome. We started with the chutney tray and poppadoms, which were delicious. For our main dishes, we ordered lamb Korma, lamb tikka masala, chips, cheese naan, plain naan, and pilau rice. The moment I took my first bite of the Korma, I knew it was the best I had ever tasted. It was creamy and full of flavor. The cheese on the naan was plentiful and melted perfectly. The chips were also outstanding. My husband raved about his lamb masala as well. We highly recommend this restaurant for its friendly service and delicious food. We will definitely be returning when we come back to Craven Arms in the future. We only wish it were closer to Swansea so we could become regulars.

Had the menu through the door saying it is open Sunday lunchtime. Went there at 2 with some friends and wasn’t even open. Had to go to the top hotel for lunch which was brilliant and have been told by other people that it is **** in the red lantern anyway. So had a lucky escape and wouldn’t attempt to go there again.

Have been a couple times now and both times the food was great and unique with their own twist on traditional Indian cuisine.
