Frank's Pizza Napoletana - Shreveport

Raved about the pizza to friends of mine for my first dinner in town in a year. Ordered a soulful Tuscan. Our server was short with us on most questions our party had with people who had never dined here, and when we got our pizza it was truly burnt. Not well done. Burnt completely black. I took it to go, but I truly don’t know why. Will come again but I hope it improves because this was a truly abysmal experience.

Pizza oven was too high. All of our pizzas came out with burnt spots but the dough was still undercooked. All of the ingredients slid off on the first slimy bite.

The pizza was good...not quite up there with the hype. While it was cooked well, I had asked for a crispy crust and it was not. The pizza also took 20min past the stated pickup time. I believe they forgot or missed my order as once I said something the pizza was done 10min later.The charcuterie plate was not worth the money.

Frank's a favorite for our group for birthday's and such. Food and service are always great and portions are large. Definitely recommend.
