Captain D's - Shreveport

Went on a mini vacay to Shreveport...saw this Captain D's and decided to stop. I'm so glad I did...the customer service was great and the food was fresh. I have no complaints about this place...oh, just one...they have Pepsi products...Ugh, I hate Pepsi...get some Coca-Cola in this city!???? Every where I've been pretty much has Pepsi here!! Oh yeah, the hush puppies were delish and they're huge! The green beans were good but I wasnt impressed with the mac and cheese. I would definitely go again!!

Pulled into the drive-thru as we left the bookstore next door, because the parking lot was nearly empty and we figured it'd be quick. Nope. Employee mumbling over loudspeaker. No drink order was taken when we ordered combos... Is Captain D's the only chain which doesn't include drinks with combos? Anyway, no drinks were served, either, so... Consistency, I guess? Despite us being the only people in the drive-thru, and with apparently next to no one in the dining area, we waited 20 minutes for service after ordering at the drive-thru and pulling to the window. After 10-15 minutes, the girl finally comes and takes my money, even though we watched her fiddling around restocking something from boxes the whole time in plain view of the window. Took another 5-10 minutes to bring our food... Again, with no drinks, and I wasn't about to add another ten minutes into our wait time by inquiring. Fish was pretty nasty, tasted like mud. Hush puppies were marginal- very little crunch, just big spongy fluffballs with a sweet pastry-like taste. The fries buried at the bottom of the box were not terrible but not good, and very few. Never again.

We loved captain d's but the catfish was thin and just not what it should be. The other fish was great and the new spicy fish was fantastic

The food is fresh and hot and super good! They have a much larger variety than I would've ever expected! I've been there several times in the last few months and it's always really good, customer service is great, wait time not long and have ordered something different every time and each thing is really, really good!

???????????????? Quite surprised at the food quality! It was great! I got fish, shrimp, fries, hushpuppies, fried okra. All were fresh high quality. I'm really glad Captain D's is still around. Didn't go inside, so can't comment on atmosphere.
