Come join me and Chad Cleveland at Tap and Stone Saturday night as we help host a fundraiser for the Midlakes/Red Jacket Relay For Life event. The teams have already raised an extraordinary $30,000 and are hoping to continue that climb in an effort to support the American Cancer Society. Live music starts at 8, pizza oven will be fired up, and the brews will be pouring. See you all there! — at Tap and Stone View all feedback.

Yo anyone in the Canandaguia area tomorrow night should come check out some good ol Bluegrass music and bar, tended by myself. Good food, drinks, music for all! — at Tap and Stone

Tap and Stone is a small restaurant situated on the Winged Pheasant Golf Links located in the Farmington/Shortsville area. They're open during the golf season and frequently invite some of our best local singers and bands to perform on weekends. There is a bar in addition to a dining room and outdoor seating. The main feature food at Tap and Stone is of course their delicious wood-fired pizzas, which I rank among the best in the greater Rochester area. You can choose from one of their menu options, or have your pie customized to your taste. The pizza is excellent and flavorful, and isn't paper-thin or burnt to a crisp as most wood-fired pizzas tend to be. The wings are also wood-fired, meaty, and taste great. I do wish they offered barbecue sauce for the wings, but their mild buffalo was easy to handle for someone like me with a weak stomach. I've found the service at Tap and Stone to be attentive and the waitresses are very friendly. During my first visit there was a mistake with my order, and they decided not to charge me for my pie (of course I made sure to leave a generous tip! . You won't see that at most places. They have a great staff and cook. I highly recommend this restaurant, and would say that it's certainly worth the roughly 45 minute drive from Rochester. Go play a round of golf, then pop in at night, grab a drink, and enjoy their pizza and wings.
