Spoonbread Bistro Deux - Short Pump

The dining experience was excellent, with the staff always being friendly and eager to answer questions. This was my third visit, and I had the Lutscher lamb chop, substituting shrimp for scallops. I also tried the duck Jere, and it was fantastic as well.

The restaurant boasts a beautiful ambiance and decor, making it an ideal spot for a date night or to impress friends. The staff is both friendly and professional, enhancing the overall experience. I started with the Crab Bisque for my appetizer, which was absolutely delicious—just the right blend of crab meat and cream. While the appetizer was fantastic, I was a bit disappointed with my main course. The lobster tail was somewhat tough and gummy, although the pasta in garlic-wine cream sauce was quite tasty and served in a generous portion. For dessert, the bread pudding was only average. While I wouldn't classify this meal as a complete success, I would be open to returning, particularly for brunch, which the restaurant is well-known for.

This is a nice restaurant, and the gimlet I had was the best I've ever tasted. The service was excellent. However, the New Year's Eve prix fixe menu was more expensive than expected, and while the food was tasty, I don't think I'll be returning frequently. Overall, it was good, but not worth the price for me.

Such a nice staff. Even during a pandemic with a limited menu, everything was to die, including drinks. Everything in a beautifully detailed atmosphere. I can't wait to go back! Very recommended for an elegant date night.

Restaurant has a romantic feel to it. The lighting and soft music playing in the background was a nice touch. The trip from Philadelphia to Richmond for dinner here was well worth it. I had the chilean salmon oscar and my fiance' had the short ribs. Delicious
