I was able to visit this restaurant for the first time in 3 years. The flowing somen noodles and grilled trout are must-try dishes every time. They never disappoint with their delicious taste. It's a bit far, but definitely worth the trip!
When summer comes, I remember it. Somen noodles, especially Ibo no Ito, with cold and delicious spring water flowing over them. Memories of being brought here when I was a child come flooding back. The nostalgic restaurant hasn't changed since long ago, with a Showa-era vibe. I was served delicious Ibo no Ito noodles boiled by a professional, and the natural spring water flowing around really refreshed me. Since I'm dining alone, I had no hesitation in using chopsticks. The salt-grilled rainbow trout was light and delicious. Being raised in a clear stream, it had no fishy smell at all and was full of flavor. It disappeared in no time along with the rice balls. The famous fried sweet potatoes will have to be saved for next time.
This is a traditional nagashi somen (flowing noodle) restaurant. It is not open during the winter season. In the tank inside the restaurant, there are many rainbow trouts swimming (you can also enjoy them salt-grilled). They also sell rare items like ageimo around here, so it's recommended to stop by for a break.
