As I followed the navigation and went deeper into the mountains, I started to feel anxious and wondered if the navigation was correct. However, when I finally arrived at the restaurant, I was amazed. There were many customers waiting in front of the restaurant. I waited for over 30 minutes, but the cool mountain air of Tamba and chatting with friends made the wait enjoyable. Once we were seated inside, I was impressed by the white and moss green walls, high ceilings, wooden tables and chairs, and overall pleasant atmosphere. The staff, even with masks on, had lovely smiles and were very friendly. The long-awaited rice ball lunch was perfect in both taste and portion size! The seasoning and texture of the rice ball, the crispy tempura, the side dishes…everything was just perfect! I went for a second time, and at ¥1500, it was well worth it. Next time, I want to bring my daughters for a drive and lunch at this place. I wonder if I can make a reservation over the phone? I should have asked before leaving, I regret it now. 笑

I arrived at 1 pm on a weekday and had to wait for 5 groups ahead of me. The waiting sheet had spaces to write down the make and color of your car, as well as your phone number. There are about 10 parking spaces available, and if you wait in your car, they will come to fetch you when it's your turn. I had the rice ball lunch set. The tempura was crispy and had just the right amount of salt sprinkled on top, making it very delicious. The rice ball was also so delicious that I wanted seconds. I ordered the chestnut parfait, which was a limited-time item, but I was too full after lunch to finish it. I'm sorry for leaving some behind. The chestnut flavor was rich and delicious. The roasted green tea ice cream underneath the chestnut paste was refreshing and exquisite. I would love to visit again when I travel towards Asago.
