Texas Jack’s Barbecue - Shirlington

We were a group of 6, and we all enjoyed the meal. We had the meat medley, sides, wings, and some of us even had beer. Everything was really good, and was more than enough for the 6 of us. For around 20/ person, I think this was a real deal. This was not our first time there, and we will surely be back.

Short rib was crazy good!!! Yes worth the . Servers were super helpful, with pictures of the entrees available on order entry to inform guests! Excellent!! Mustard based sauce is always my favorite, but spicy was good, also! Be aware of the swallow kick back! That's when the heat escalates! Everyone was very happy with orders: pulled pork sandwich, meat combo, brussel sprouts, 1/2 chicken, spare ribs sausage! Good choice for families very accommodating. Park on the street!! Parking lot is super tight!!!!

Visiting from Texas and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The BBQ is simply outstanding. It is as good as the BBQ joints in Texas. We liked the rustic décor of this place. We loved the Cucumber Salad with crumbled feta, mint and white balsamic vinaigrette (fresh and refreshing). The Kansas City Style Brisket burnt ends were delicious and the Beef Brisket was very tender and flavorful. Our servers provided friendly and efficient service frequently asking us if we needed refills on our drinks. We would definitely return to this place if in the area again. Highly recommended.

My family and I love this place. Easy to reserve. Amazing staff. Once, they even called me ahead of time because they ran out of brisket and wanted to make sure that I wanted to keep my reservation. Everything on the menu taste amazing, from the wings, deviled eggs to the dessert cupcakes and all in between!

Everything is great here. I haven’t had a problem yet and the bartenders are great. The drinks are strong. I have yet to have a problem here and I will continue to return.
