What User doesn't like about Saxa Vord:
Eat all right, a lot of it. Expect a limited menu as you are unlikely to go anywhere more distant in the UK. Be prepared for wet and windy weather and when the wind falls, then beware the clouds of the dwarfs. The wild haggis can be hunted until March. View all feedback. What User likes about Saxa Vord:
I have not stayed at the resort but the restaurant is good and is well patronized by local people. The menu is small but everything is well-cooked and presented and local produce is used wherever possible. The dining room is unpretentious and with no view to speak of but is bright and airy and has a very pleasant, welcoming ambience. The staff too are always pleasant and welcoming. The restaurant at North Atlantic Hotel is a local favorite, offering well-prepared dishes using local ingredients. The dining room is bright and welcoming, although it lacks any scenic views. The bar serves affordable drinks, including locally brewed beer and gin. On select days, they serve delicious fish and chips. Accommodations at the hotel consist of cozy self-catering houses, with well-equipped kitchens and clean facilities. While the property shows signs of wear, the staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, North Atlantic Hotel is a great choice for visitors looking to explore the beautiful and quirky island of Unst.

"Great shop but having a few tables and chairs does not make it a restaurant. Our food (pies, toasted sandwiches) was just about edible but tasteless...."
