What ViewsOfAShetlander doesn't like about Skibhoul Stores:
I would hardly call this place a cafe or restaurant, you can buy coffee and rolls, but you heat them up yourself. The winning thing about Skibhoul Stores, and what keeps them open, is their bakery. They make the best bread in Shetland, and people will come from far wide for it. View all feedback.
The staff were incredibly rude and confrontational during our visit. I even overheard them making derogatory remarks about customers, which felt very unprofessional. It was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends. To the owners, please be aware that your employees' attitudes could hurt your business. We won't be returning.
Wow, what an incredible store on this remote island! There’s an impressive selection of items, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable as well. They offer fresh produce, frozen meats, and a good variety of alcohol. Plus, it's right next to Britain’s northernmost post office!
Upon discovering that the building is actually a store, you'll be thrilled to find a place that offers food and just about anything else you can imagine. The bakery section is especially satisfying for those with a hearty appetite. It's unfortunate that the DIY café is no longer available.
Good for staples friendly staff , one of only three stores on the island apparently dribble bread I'd to die for
Superb local shop and stop off for emergency supplies. Found some delightful fair Isle pattern printed mugs perfect for our strong evening 'proper coffee ', plus locally made biscuits and fudge to take back for my partner 's work mates.
