I can't believe I'm saying this but this is better than any Indian food than I have ever had in DFW and I've tried many! The veggie pakora and tomato soup were spot on, flavors were authentic and quality is top notch. If you've never tried this kind of food, you are in for a treat! Service is prompt and kind as well. There is not a lunch menu but worth the price and portions are more than generous. A very surprising... View all feedback.

Mt. Everest Restaurant delivers authentic Indian and subcontinental cuisine with consistently delicious, fresh dishes like chicken tikka, samosas, and garlic naan. The lunch buffet is a standout, offering a variety of flavorful vegetarian and vegan options that satisfy hearty appetites. While the food garners high praise for taste and spice customization, opinions on service vary—some guests find staff attentive and welcoming, others feel overlooked. The atmosphere is generally relaxed, though some note minor issues such as building odors. Overall, Mt. Everest is a beloved local favorite, perfect for families and anyone craving genuine, satisfying Indian fare.

The food here is excellent, full of spices and flavors. I just wish you offered palak paneer!
This restaurant is fantastic! The food is exceptional, and the service was excellent. The atmosphere is quiet and very relaxed. We will definitely return when we’re back in town.
We visited the restaurant with a large group, and although they weren't fully prepared for it, they handled everything exceptionally well. The food was outstanding, and our server was fantastic, taking the time to go over the menu with everyone. Thank you!
This place is phenomenal, by far my favorite restaurant in Sherman. The food is amazing, the service is unbeatable, it's just great all around. They have lots of vegetarian and vegan dishes, you can't miss the lunch buffet. My wife and I try to go every time we get paid, there's always different things on the buffet. We always get overstuffed, but unlike some buffets you don't feel hungry a couple hours later. We'll go in for lunch and just skip dinner all together.
Absolutely delicious authentic Indian restaurant. Our waiter Douglas was very accommodating and welcoming. The Butter Chicken level 3 was exceptional, perfect amount of heat and the sauce and chicken were perfect! I highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I had lunch with my fiancée, and we were thrilled to be there. We were looking for something different, and the service was outstanding. Since it was our first visit, our server walked us through the menu and offered great suggestions. I had the lamb with korma, and my fiancée enjoyed the fish with curry. The garlic bread was incredible as well. Overall, the food was exceptional. We can’t wait to return for both lunch and dinner. It’s also very family-friendly, and I’m excited to bring others here. Excellent experience!
Visited for the first time today with my husband and kids. It wasnt busy when we got there around 6. There was only two other people sitting at another table together. They didn't change the inside much from when it was jungle burger except paint over some things. Theres now a buffet on the far side. It was closed when we got there. Both me and my husband ordered the chicken Tikka masala. His spicy mine not. With regular naan bread. One order of the tikka could have fed us both really. Just get extra naan because they only give you four. We know now for next time. My daughter wanted to try the dumplings. We got an order of the chicken momos fried. They had really good flavor. Next time we will try stremed instead. My son wanted chicken nuggets because he didnt like the food( kinda picky when it comes to new things but he did like the dumplings) not sure if what they served him was one order but it was alot of nuggets. It was a good first experience. Will be back.
I have been here twice now and the food is delicious. Love all the choices of naan they have. I’m surprised both times I have been there are so few people in the place. They really need to repaint and decorate so it feels more like India I think a better ambiance would bring more people in. The prices have gone up but I guess that is everywhere so it is on the expensive side. Gave only 4 stars because both times the service did not feel really friendly.
It has been awhile since we have been here. It was really quite good today. Had garlic naan and the chicken platter. Some of the best Indian food I have ever had.

The Indian and Nepalese cuisine here is absolutely delicious! You can choose your preferred spice level, and everything is cooked to perfection. It's truly a feast! This restaurant is a fantastic addition to the dining scene in Sherman.
The chutney cheesecake is delicious. The garlic naan would make an excellent base for a pizza if topped with cheese and sauce.

I ordered through DoorDash, so my review focuses solely on the quality of the food. It was fantastic, and I definitely plan to order from them again. I was a bit surprised that the heat level was low, so next time I’ll be sure to specify that I enjoy spicy dishes. Overall, I'm very happy to have discovered this hidden gem in North Texas!
