The first time. I don't know they had lunch. Hey must have assumed that I was a repeat customer, since all they said was “buffet”?. Didn't know how much it costs, but still ate. The food was fresh and delicious. My only complaint was the obvious lack of napkins. After destroying the silver, I asked for more. She gave me one!! I felt like my quota was so left with sticky fingers View all feedback.
What Reyna Champlin doesn't like about China Star:
It's usually really good. Not sure if chef on Vacation but last two times rice burnt and chicken didn't taste right. The hostess very nice but original cook does make yummy food. View all feedback.
We go here often. The food is usually very good. The only problem is that a lot of times it just tears your stomach up afterwards. That won't deter us from going there because if you need something they will always get it for you fast. The staff is always nice as well.

7/11/19. the front person was sweet and nice . the food on the other hand was gross. the chicken for sweet and sour was days old. the sweet and sour sauce was runny and no flavor. the egg rolls where something you could buy from the freezer department. the french fries were good.
Do not go here. Good is small portions. Staff is slow. Took thirty minutes to get a warm coffee. Food is small portions and not very good. They don't have sushi here so don't go expecting it. You're better off going to panda buffet in McKinney. Or even grand buffet. Panda is better but grand is also good.
Nice place with several buffet tables to choose from. It didn't seem to have as much choice as it appeared first. The food was fresh and hot.
