I've been to La Frite numerous times over many years. It appears there have been some changes to the menu, but not drastic. What they did was pare it down to the dishes that most people have loved for years and updated it a bit. One of my favorites has always been their spinach salad. What underwhelmed doesn't like about La Frite:
Food was as expected solid but not exciting. Very hard to get waitstaff attention for water refills, etc. once the meal was served. I would have liked to order a glass of wine but no one came by to check on whether we needed anything. Creme brûlée was oversized, but two tiny scoops of ice cream were overpriced at $8. I've been in a la for many years. it seems there were some changes in the menu, but not drastic. what they did, it was up to those who loved most people for years and updated it a little. one of my favorites has always been their spinach salad. the change was, however, to replace the mushroom slices with chicken slices. Luckily, the dressing is great and blots out all the problems. (ask for extra dressing on the side. in this case it was the tasteless, dry huh. next time I'll ask if I can get the mushrooms instead. I hope they have not changed their big la frite burger. by the way, it was lunch. their dinners are also good.
We wanted to try this restaurant in a decision last minute. in the restaurant, which was about half full and was very beautiful, advised. ordered starter and main course with my wife. the food came to relatiw quickly. nothing fantastic but high-quality eating has been served. will I have come back?

Sunday brunch is a favorite here, as they have groundless mimosas! also I love half cantaloupe filled with harbour and earthy! the eier benedikt is usually my way, but I was surprised that the hollandiase tasted differently. a little too lemony? the croissant is the best! a great value at $28 for 2 courses including croissant and groundless mimosas!
I have written about this place before. We usually go there for Sunday brunch. With bottomless champagne included, the brunch special is $28.00. It is not a buffet. However, the amount of food is ample to fill almost anyone. Support this place!
