Having booked a table by telephone just a little while earlier one evening recently we arrived on foot to be courteously greeted and lead to our table. My sister, who lives in the village, had always assumed that this was a small place. How wrong she was. There was more than enough space for many diners. Any way, after ordering our drinks, mine being a chilled Kingfisher beer in a beautiful glass, I ordered onion bhajis as a starter and the garlic chicken curry prepared at the heat of a vindaloo at my crazy request. And it was spicy hot. Just the way I like it. Throughout the menu we were served by very friendly and efficient waiters and we left fully satisfied. In fact, my sister and her partner were so pleased that, after I had moved on to my next destination, they returned for a repeat performance.

By far my favourite Indian restaurant. Russell front of house always friendly and keeps all the serving staff on thier toes. Good selection of drinks, especially wines and Gins... lots of choice. Food is superb and the team will happily adjust the spice level if you prefer. They also have a few different dishes based around Venison and Fish... booking at weekend advised. Service: Dine in
