My mum stayed for three nights last week, having travelled from the Isle of Wight with my dad and brother to visit us in our first home, here in Lydd. She was made to feel very comfortable and very much enjoyed her time. Jenny and her team were very friendly, and even gifted my mum a free book about Romney Marsh! Her room and bathroom was perfect for her stay and comfortable. Will definitely be recommending The George if my family come over en masse again! Thank you for all your help.

This weekend I attended The George for a friend`s wedding. It was well supported by Jenny and her staff. They went out of their way to ensure that the buffet was fresh, delicious and plentiful. The customer service was excellent and my room was comfortable, warm with linen and towels being supplied. If you want to support a local business make a visit. I stayed there thanks to Lynn and, I am glad I did, as it is place full of history and a hidden gem.
Loved the art on the walls, the beer in the glass and the friendly welcome and conversation.
