The best Japanese food in Shepp! The food was delicious, delicate and a wide selection of flavors. I would recommend the lamb tab, you will get to pour sauce on the hot plate that produces a loud nozzle. I would improve the atmosphere of the restaurant. Only music and decorations. Everyone has to eat here at least once : View all feedback.

This place is definitely amazing. The food was about approx. 25% for what you expect and overprice the service dreadfully. The final product was nice enough to eat, but probably with what a house cooker could whip with a Japanese cookbook. The restaurant itself is demal; dusty shelves and glasses; crisp, scratched and misfitting chairs, and tables with paper on table linen, so cleaning is not necessary. I'd take alon... Décor 1/10, staff 8/10, Food 6/10, Price 4/10. I had my mind set on Sushi, Google maps found me Zen X. I walked upto the store, the door glass was mirky, the handle covered in black fingerprints, the roof covered with cobwebs. I looked inside, there was one single elderly Asian lady inside looking back at me. I awquadly kept on walking to the next foodstore nextdoor... It was shut for the long weekend. I went back and opened the door. The lady came up and handed my children a toy and gave them a chocolate. We were in for the long haul. We sat down, the tables were clean enough. I ordered 3 plates of $20 sushi, we waited. I looked around the store, the walls were horribly marked with food splatters, the lights were taped to the walls, the hand written advertisements were taped crookedly onto the walls, the chair feet were black with grot, the air conditioners looked like they hadnt been cleaned in 10 years. I braced myself for the inevitable food poisoning. The plates came out, the food seemed fresh enough although my stomach was in knots. Each plate had about 8 pieces of sushi on them. We finished our meal, nobody came in the store the entire time. Please, please hire a decorator, buy a mop and bucket then give the place a coat of paint. We won't be coming back but the place could be something. The food wasnt terrible but we wouldnt have walked inside if it wasnt out only option.
Sushi rolls were well presented and tasted better than other stores but the price is extremely high.Meals are heavily priced.I hope they come with a better approach as the food and service is good.
The worst Teppanyaki I’ve been to. You really have to try to create your own enjoyment with this one. They do seem like they try, but its not much of a “show” if you know what I mean. The cooking setup is a bit sad, service is quite muted, and most importantly food is average. Maybe even below average. The beer was 3 months out of date too. Wouldn’t go back even if it were free to be honest.
Unfortunately I didn't have a very good experience here with take away. The food was quite overpriced and didn't come as it was described on the menu. I ordered three mains, a miso soup and a rice and it was $77. Much, much more expensive than similar restaurants in town doing take away during COVID. I ordered Tempura Udon, and I received a meal that just had udon, broth and a couple of slices of mushroom. No tempura to be found. The tonkatsu came without the sauce (even though it says on the menu it is served with sauce). The food was actually delicious, it just didn't come as we expected and was very overpriced.
