I was in line at the deli to pay for two baked chickens, but after waiting, I was told that I couldn't pay there. I asked why I had to wait in line for the food if I couldn't pay for the chickens in the deli. I explained that I had purchased them from that department, but the employee insisted I couldn't pay there. I was so fed up that I told her to keep the chickens and walked away. This is ridiculous. I guess I'll take my business to Fred Meyer from now on. I own Blondies restaurant and typically buy our milk, cream, and bread from Safeway, thinking I could do the same at Fred Meyer. It would have only taken this employee two minutes to ring up my two chickens instead of taking five minutes to explain the situation.

I th... read more I went to shelton store, with an add they mailed out with good sales. I spent an hour in store gethering the stuff. Noticed on sale items digital Coupons . I thought my safeway card was all I needed. Put all stuff on belt at check out stand. when Checker started checking items I asked him what ditgal coupons were for?? He said to get sale price, I said how does it work, he said you use your computor at home or cell phone, then I asked if I was getting the lowest sale price and he not if I didn 't use the ditgal coupons. I told him I was 76 years old and my wife is 78 we are not up to date on this computor stuff and have basic cell phone prepay. That they discrimi nation against older people and the not so smart people. I told him I didn 't want any of the items and walked out. Told him to call his manager and tell him what happened. Your safeway card is almost useless. Fred Meyers and Walmart looking better!!! Safeway must a kick back from Google and Google sells info..
