Food was very tasty and came out surprisingly quick. I wish I had the option of getting my side of pasta plain. I got a veal dish that the tomato sauce just didn't go with. was here pre covid and it was amazing. not sure what happened. recently had dinner here, and it was not a good experience. service was not good, took 20 minutes to get check after I asked for it, ordered a drink which never came. food was cold and the portions were tiny. easily could have eaten 2 of what I ordered and it was not cheap! This is hands down best Italian restaurant. The food always so amazing. My favorite appetizer is the stuffed meatball. The lobster dishes are mmmmm to die for. Such a cute dinning room. You can sit on the bar side or a dinning room. The service is the best, family owned, everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

Delmonico steak was very tough, and stuffed shrimp was overcooked, and stuffing was bland. Others in my party said the chicken parm was ok but the clams and linguine had too much oily sauce. Fried calamari was very good. Service was good. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
I used to frequent La Scogliera when I lived in Shelton- however will not go back after my experience yesterday. Took a friend out for a nice meal- and was anything but. One meal came out cold, one was incorrect, and all without sides. Calamari was a tiny portion, and not very good. Pasta was still full of water.We requested to speak to an owner, and she had an poor and aggressive attitude telling us ‘things happen, don’t make a scene’ when she was the one making a scene. You do not speak to paying customers in that manner; in fact I have never spoken to someone in that manner, everneedless to say I will not be back. Portion sizes, quality of food, and owner attitudes have all gone downhill- dramatically.
