Was traveling on the ferry and thought we would get dinner in Port Townsend. Nope, everything was closed. Found this restaurant and had never eaten here. They were open until 10. Thank goodness. The food was really good and the chips were warm and the salsa really good. Had a enchilada and taco combo. It was View all feedback.
What Bradley Collins doesn't like about El Sarape Shelton:
The lady up front was rude and just kind didn't seem to care. I ordered to-go and she just pointed where my food was at where there was a couple bags and no labels. Had to just stand there for a bit till she finally walked by and told me which one was mine. Also they forgot my tortilla's for my fajitas. Not worth it in my opinion, way better mexican restaurants around Shelton. View all feedback.
Nice place, live music, what you see in pictures(the food) is Sopapillas delicious a must try, we stopped here randomly after eating elsewhere because we were craving piña colada and we had a good time the wife and I.You have pool tables to play too, lots of room to hang out woth your friends, should visit if you are around
Food was good, serves was alright, and atmosphere was OK.
We go there about once a week and every time it's great.

BUYER BEWARE . In the cantina, attached to restaurant but all billed through El Sarape..... My debit card was charged $10 more than the bill I signed for. It was also really hard to settle this with the owner after talking to and emailing a manager. I agreed to pay for my food and drinks after my cash refund but the owner's total was more than the entire bill that I was disputing. Someone is not communicating OR is outright stealing money from patrons or their employer.THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE HERE, my card was charged more than my total, but I figured it was a fluke. Certainly not this time. I signed to pay about $40 (which included a 20% gratuity that the bartender had selected for me) and my card was charged over $50.
