Reviews - Bigfoot Java
Reviews summary
This coffee stand garners a mix of praise and criticism, especially regarding the quality of drinks and customer service. While many customers appreciate the well-made beverages and friendly staff, frustrations arise from inconsistent service, high prices, and occasional quality issues with food items. The ambiance appears inviting, ideal for a hot day with their large Italian sodas, yet some patrons feel the cost of their drinks is excessive. Overall, the establishment shows promise but would benefit from improved service training and more reasonable pricing to enhance the customer experience.

My wife loves their drinks, and we frequent this coffee stand fairly often. The drinks are made well consistently, the staff is friendly and clean, and they work efficiently. The prices are ridiculous though, otherwise I would rate 5 stars. The prices almost make me want to rate this a 3 star review, but I honestly enjoy all other aspects of this business enough to stay steady at 4 stars. Please lower prices a little bit though, it is kinda ridiculous to have to pay over $8 for a 32oz coffee.
It was late when I decided to order an apple cider. After leaving it untouched for about 45 minutes, I assumed it would have cooled down enough to enjoy. However, that was not the case. When I finally took a sip, it was extremely hot, burning my entire mouth, including my tongue and the roof of my mouth. I'm not quite sure why you serve it at such a high temperature that it can't even be consumed after waiting this long.
I've only been here once, passing through on a road trip. The 16oz mocha with whip cream was super smooth and tasty!
Used to be great about a year ago. They?re 20oz coffee?s now average at $7.50, and the new baristas aren?t very kind. They also won?t just sell you a water anymore or warm water in a cup for tea without charging $3.85 (they said they have to ring it up as a drink)
The last two times I visited Bigfoot Java, the drinks were disappointing. I assumed it might be due to new staff, so I gave it a few months before trying again. Today, I had a frozen banana bread, and my coffee was made with spoiled milk. I also had to wait for a manager to process my refund.

Shelton location: The staff here is fantastic! They provide excellent service, and their Italian sodas are the largest I've ever seen. I love coming here for a refreshing, oversized cold drink on a hot day.
The last two times I've visited Bigfoot Java, the drinks have been disappointing. I figured it might have been due to new staff, so I waited a few months before giving it another try. Today, I was served a still-frozen banana bread, and my coffee was made with spoiled milk. On top of that, I had to wait for an area manager to process my refund. The quality of the menu items at Bigfoot Java really needs improvement.
I’m giving this place a 3-star rating solely because their coffee has always been good. However, my experience today was quite disappointing. I stopped by around 3:30 PM and waited almost 20 minutes, only to leave frustrated and without my coffee. There were three employees working, but only one was actually assisting customers. One seemed to be the manager, while the other was presumably assigned to my order. The initial 5-10 minutes were spent stuck behind another car, likely because the staff member was ignoring her too. After that, I was left waiting without any acknowledgment. Nobody greeted me or informed me that it might take a little longer due to other tasks. I would have appreciated even a simple acknowledgment, even if it was just to say they were busy with cleanup. As someone who works in customer service, I know that if I treated customers this way, I would be let go immediately. At the very least, the employee needs proper training on customer service, or they shouldn’t be in this line of work.
My wife is a big fan of their drinks, and we visit this coffee stand quite regularly. The drinks are consistently well-made, the staff is friendly and clean, and they work efficiently. However, the prices are quite high, which almost makes me consider giving them a 3-star rating. Despite that, I really enjoy everything else about this place, so I’ll stick with a 4-star rating. It would be great if they could lower their prices a bit; paying over $8 for a 32oz coffee seems a bit excessive.
