The Flying Goat

There is nothing like dinner on the covered porch during the warmer months. The menu changes often and the distant water views cannot be beat. Always friendly and always easy and fun. I do wish they offered a local wine choice but they do offer some great local beers.

There are many good items on this menu (juicy hamburgers, delicious french onion soup to name a few) but I am addicted to the crab cakes! And the view!!

Somehow youre on SI, make it special by going to the flying goat. Put your trip over the top.

The food here features straightforward American-inspired dishes rather than inventive recipes. The portion sizes are relatively small compared to typical American fare. Additionally, there’s a golf course nearby, which means you might have to wait to be seated. However, the staff is very hardworking and attentive at the tables.

I absolutely love this place! I stopped by for lunch on my way back from watching the sunset at the beach on an incredibly hot day. We were seated on a lovely veranda at the top of the hill overlooking the golf course and enjoyed some delicious fish tacos. The view was stunning, and a nice breeze made the experience even better. I highly recommend trying it!
