Newgrass Brewing - Shelby

Great place to just chill and have afternoon drink. I also met the owner who was super nice guy!!

Really cool place with fun vibe. The beer is excellent, but too much sediment in it for my taste. I do not know whether this is targeted or whether they need better filtration. They don't make any more flights because the brewer doesn't want to. I am not sure why you do not want to encourage people to try more of your product. I also recommend skipping the food. It is not very good with the exception of cheese curds.

Decided to check out Shelby on our way back to Asheville from Charlotte. Had Newgrass bookmarked, so it was perfect for an afternoon beer. They have seating inside and out. I didn’t realize there was such a nice patio off to the side (love the Earl Scruggs mural). We enjoyed our beers so much we decide to get another round. Was nice to know they had food though we ate lunch before we headed home so only beers this time.

Food was great, people are friendly, nice variety of beer. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Amazing cheese curds!! Definitely work checking out! We will be back!

A solid 4.5!! Really good burgers and beer!! I wanted the cheese curds on my burger but they were out unfortunately! We will be back!!
