On a sunny afternoon, I arrived at Shelby Regional, parked my plane, and headed to the restaurant. I ordered the BBQ Sandwich Basket, which was served quickly. It looked and tasted fantastic. I’ll definitely be returning! View all feedback.
Beef breeze, pork, Hush puppies and pommes. Several sauces; all good. Friendly service, no complaints. Probably the only barbecue area in the Shelby area to which I return.
I ordered the brisket sandwich along with some fries. The brisket was tender and had a nice bark and flavor. I requested raw onions and pickles on the sandwich. The sauce was unexpected, having a honey-like consistency and a sweetness that I wasn't anticipating. I had expected the vinegar sauce to be similar to what you find in North Carolina. Overall, it was a unique experience!
