A group of 7 of us had our evening meal here on two occasions whilst staying (elsewhere) in Midhopestones for a week. We had booked a table for the day we arrived and the meal was so good we booked again for 3 days later. On both occasions the 7 of us ordered a variety of meals from the good choice provided on the menu (of both mains and desserts). We all thought the meals were excellent. What BomBusBea doesn't like about Ye Olde Mustard Pot:
Fish chip supper. Crispy, tasty plenty on the plate. Bit too oily…. But not bad for a wet Tuesday night!.. got a slice of lemon which was a good touch… but no garnish of salad was ok. Was cold outside… and not to warm inside?… no fire burning… but a electrical fan heater was provided to warm up a table of 6- which proved to be Pretty useless! Country pubs work best in Autumn with a welcoming fire. View all feedback.
