Needed somewhere close to City road Cemetery and did not care to travel into the city for the usual impersonal box and found this which as it was weekday it had no late night music, we stayed just one night but the staff went out...of their way to be helpful and pleasant, especially Steve. In the evening we had a homemade traditional meat and tatty pie with everything including local relish and home made mushy peas.... View all feedback.
What Stacey Khan doesn't like about The Old Crown Inn:
We went to this pub for a Sunday evening meal after reading the reviews on trip advisor. Unfortunately they don't serve food after 3pm on a Sunday!! Nice atmosphere and friendly locals, stayed for a couple of drinks but had to go elsewhere for something...to eat. View all feedback.
Wow- what a weeking, stay here at this weekend and will definitely be back, beautiful staff, everything can not be enough for them and some beautiful local to do I wish we would stay longer as we really didn't want to go
Beautiful and local in the opposite of sheffield I had to visit. good run pub, will definitely stop again when close. also good beer and nice friendly locals
A three-bedded room in an inn,' which after 7 o'clock (or breakfast) does not serve any diners, which are not en-suite facilities and beds that are good ten years after sale until date. a terrible night slept on the most unpleasant beds we used, and one that was so bad, we went after only 1 night stay and stay in a premier now. the common bathroom, 15 meters from our room, was supposed to be used only by us, but another gast used it from the shameful bristles that he left in the sink after shaking. that was not the fault of the inns, but then why do we say that we use the bathroom facilities exclusively? describing this place as fabulous, is best and at worst fraudulently misleading. not recommended for everything.
I had an overnight stay at The Old Crown as I was working in the area. From the time that I checked in to the time that I checked out, I was looked after really well. The young lady behind the bar showed me up...to my room, which was a decent size, very clean and had all the amenities that you need. The bed was also very comfortable. The evening meal was very good value for money. I like real ale and there were 4 to choose from. The lad behind the bar was very friendly, gave me samples of the ale to try and also gave me a bit of background to the breweries. There was a jam night for local musicians which kept me entertained for a couple of hours. The following morning I had a wonderful breakfast which was made by a very friendly lady who made sure that I had everything that I needed. This pub is a really good place to stay with very friendly staff and locals. If I am working in the Sheffield area again, this is definitely where I will be staying.

In the morning cereals, full English breakfast, and fresh fruit brought that morning. The room was fine with on-suit and good shower. Handy having a car park as well.
