This has to be one of the best restaurant menus I have ever experienced! The chefs are incredible and the portion sizes are generous. Just be cautious of the high prices for wine. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to visit again. View all feedback.
During the first year of opening, it was extremely difficult to secure a table at this restaurant. We finally managed to do so and I was eager to see if it lived up to the hype. I had very high expectations. The food was a bit pricey, but you could taste the quality of the ingredients. The style of dining was quite traditional British bistro, so if that is your thing, you will enjoy it here and likely return. Personally, I felt it was missing a bit of excitement and while the quality was good, it didn't stand out to me in any way. I am not typically a fan of classic British cuisine, so this may just be a matter of personal taste. My favorite dishes were the broth and the cheese platter, as well as the chocolate mousse dessert - both were excellent. The service was a bit odd, as we were rushed out of the restaurant upon arrival because we were 5 minutes early (although I understand space constraints). The service felt quite fast and plates were cleared before everyone had finished eating. We also felt a bit rushed towards the end of the night, but we had made a late reservation so it was understandable to a certain extent. Overall, the food was of good quality and prepared with care, albeit in a more traditional style that didn't quite excite me personally. This is not a negative critique, just a matter of personal preference. If you enjoy traditional British flavors, you will likely love this restaurant.
I recently visited this restaurant for the second time and had a great experience. The quality of ingredients was top-notch and the flavors were fresh and delicious. The dishes were creatively and skillfully prepared with a unique touch. It's recommended to make a reservation at least 3 months in advance, as this popular restaurant has limited seating.

Fantastic meal and atmosphere, one of the best meals I've had in Sheffield. What a spot, having sampled the menu with a finish at home meal during lockdown, this was the first time we had dined in. We'd rebooked before the mains arrived. Yes, it's a small spot but you still do have your space. As they point out on the website, arrive bang on your reservation time or you may have to wait outside (maybe pop into Two Shed for a cheeky half? . Yes, it's BYOB and yes, cash only, but all of this is explained on the website and if all of that's too much of an inconvenience, great, it'll keep the reservations list that little bit clearer for those of us more than happy to plan ahead. There are ATMs and off licenses within a few minutes walk if you are caught on the hop. Great, traditional food, cooked beautifully and with care. Staff were great, friendly and helpful. We even got an apology as the mains were a little delayed, but this came before we'd even noticed. Can't wait to go back. Well done Tom and team.
We went to No Name for our anniversary meal and were not disappointed. The food was exquisite, by far the best meal we've had in Sheffield. We joked that we felt like we were in an episode of MasterChef. The restaurant is only small with 20 covers however that works wonderfully to ensure there is an atmosphere without it feeling overwhelming or noisy. We cannot wait for another excuse to treat ourselves!
