Lovely atmosphere but the length of time waiting to have our order taken put us back to our scheduled arrival time. Starters were lovely but the medium rare burger came overcooked!...We were offered a free dessert which was a nice gesture, After the slow start the service was excellent

Despite it not being very busy, we had to wait almost 25 minutes t... read more We arrived early and were seated promptly at a nice and clean restaurant with friendly staff. Despite it not being very busy, we had to wait almost 25 minutes to place our order, which was frustrating. Our drinks arrived first and were finished before our food arrived (which took 35 minutes to be served). The eggs Benedict was delicious and the full English breakfast was decent, although the sausage seemed pale on the outside. The fried eggs were perfectly cooked. It was disappointing to have to wait so long, even when requesting the bill. I had my debit card ready, but the bill arrived before someone had to wait to use the card machine.
